This old house: The Saint James NY Kingston // Before and After'ish

If you can dream it, you can do it!  This shabby old Victorian was quite an undertaking and with a lot of vision and elbow grease we were really able to create quite an estate out of distressed barren home and grounds.

New Patio and landscaping at Saint James Kingston, New York / NY

Our good friends Matt & Mark recommended, James, a local landscaping contractor, to set in our new back patio.   After a few weeks of rain and bad weather, it was finally completed. And wow did it turn out great.  Half of the patio was set with large river rock pebbles and the other half in large blue stone tiles for a formal sitting area for us to relax / dine / wine & BBQ.  The blue stones were even custom cut to create a smooth round transition from the patio to our backyard.  It looks great offset by our large flower beds and English garden boxes.

Awesome flea market finds for the Saint James Kingston home

I recently went to LIC Flea and Food last weekend and stumpled upon these amazing pieces of art.  2 fine needle point paintings and 2 metal and cast iron statues and lamp.  So fitting for our little Victorian upstate in Kingston!  PS the food was amazing there as well, all the best restaurants from LIC!

The Saint James Kingston Back Patio

Our backyard is soon to house a river rock zen garden and a blue stone patio for dining and entertaining.  On top of the river rock will house a cement block for the hot tub to come in the fall hopefully.

In just a few days we'll be able to expand our yard by gaining more living/dining space our the back property.  It'll be perfect for barbeque'ing and sipping some Keagan's Ale beer!
